We’ve covered many of our cosmetic treatments, such as teeth whitening and bonding and contouring. However, we have another popular option that can enhance smiles in as little as two visits: porcelain veneers. Using thin shells of porcelain, we can address a variety of problems with a tooth’s shape and color.
Creating and Placing Porcelain Veneers
If we decide veneers are the best choice for addressing cosmetic issues, we will begin by preparing the teeth. We remove a thin layer of enamel and then take detailed impressions of the teeth. Using the impressions, we can design and create custom-made dental veneers. When you return to the office, we will check the fit of your restorations. We can then make any necessary last-minute adjustments. Finally, we place it using a wonderful bonding agent.
Addressing Common Cosmetic Issues
We can place a restoration to mask permanent teeth stains, or even reshape malformed or damaged teeth. We can lengthen worn down teeth or even correct the appearance of minor misalignment. Finally, we can also close any gaps between the teeth. The porcelain used to create them can mimic the appearance of natural tooth enamel. In addition, the material is strong and stain-resistant.
Ensuring Long Lasting Restoration
To ensure your new restorations are long lasting and lifelike, you should care for them as you would natural teeth. We suggest brushing and flossing daily to prevent serious plaque buildup, gingivitis, and other oral health issues that could compromise them. We also urge patients to have their teeth cleaned every six months to keep your smile healthy and attractive (and your veneers strong and bright). If you have any questions about out dental veneers, or any of our other cosmetic treatment options, then please contact our office today. We understand how important beautiful smiles can be and want to help you obtain one!
