Fluoride and Dental Sealants
In order to help reduce the overall risk of tooth decay, we may recommend preventive treatments. In the same visit, we can administer a fluoride varnish. A naturally-occurring mineral, fluoride can strengthen outer enamel and safeguard smiles against cavities. A dental sealant will involve placing a plastic coating on the rear teeth, which kids often have trouble reaching when brushing and flossing. The coating prevents food from becoming stuck between these teeth, helping them avoid cavities.
