Cosmetic Bonding
With cosmetic bonding, we use composite resin, the same material that offers metal-free tooth-colored fillings, to address a number of cosmetic concerns. We can shade the material to blend with the tooth and apply it to mask permanent teeth stains, repair minor chips, and close gaps between the teeth. Once we clean the tooth, etch the surface, and apply the material, we then shape it as the composite resin cures under a light. Afterward, we polish the tooth for a more lifelike appearance. The entire procedure can be completed in a single sitting, saving time!
Dental Contouring
Contouring also only takes a single visit and can often be completed in the same visit as bonding. We gently buff the tooth to remove a small amount of outer tooth structure. The contouring procedure can remove pits or grooves in the tooth, dull overly pointed teeth, and reshape malformed, damaged, or jagged teeth.
